Job Summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Assistant to join our team. As a Financial Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable
  • Process and verify invoices for payment
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices
  • Monitor and reconcile vendor statements
• Accounts Receivable
  • Process and verify customer payments
  • Ensure timely posting of customer payments
  • Monitor and reconcile customer statements
• General Ledger Maintenance
  • Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Monitor and analyze financial trends and variances
• Financial Analysis
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports and statements
  • Identify and investigate financial discrepancies
  • Develop and implement financial process improvements
• Compliance and Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies
• Communication and Collaboration
  • Communicate financial information to management and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve financial goals
  • Provide financial support and guidance to employees

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 2-3 years of experience in financial accounting or related field
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
