Emergency Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Physical and Functional Rehabilitation Manager to join our team at Handicap International-Humanity & Inclusion. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the deployment of physical and functional rehabilitation operations in response to emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the initial diagnosis of emergency response operations and contribute to the definition of the strategy, methodology, and sizing of the initial diagnosis.
- Lead and coordinate the deployment of physical and functional rehabilitation operations, ensuring compliance with Humanity & Inclusion's rules and standards and those of its donors.
- Develop and launch emergency response strategies, defining the operational, technical, budgetary, and logistical framework for emergency physical and functional rehabilitation interventions.
- Support the implementation of integrated approaches, collaborating closely with MHPSS and livelihoods managers in the Emergency Pool.
- Develop project management, monitoring, and evaluation tools and monitor their implementation.
- Manage project teams, defining project organization charts and job descriptions, recruiting team members, and monitoring team performance.
- Monitor the quality of actions carried out, ensuring compliance with established criteria and indicators.
- Identify partners' capacities and capacity-building needs, coordinating with support teams.
- Participate in the drafting of internal and external reports and produce regular situation and activity reports for the Emergency Area Manager or Programme Director/Country Manager.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in physiotherapy or occupational therapy.
- Additional training in project management and development/humanitarian operations or equivalent, preferably in the field of international humanitarian action.
- Good knowledge of emergency donor regulations and processes.
- Fluency in English and French, with Spanish or Arabic being an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Recent clinical experience in orthopaedics, trauma, respiratory, or burns.
- At least 2 years' proven experience as a manager/coordinator in the field of physical and functional rehabilitation.
- Additional experience in the MHPSS and inclusion sectors, including experience in developing intervention frameworks for emergency physical and functional rehabilitation.
