{"Job Title": "Medical Science Liaison", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our team at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals. As a Medical Science Liaison, you will be responsible for managing and executing field medical activities that support our Medical Affairs strategies for marketed products and/or development compounds. You will engage in peer coaching across the Field team and be sought out by peers and colleagues to inform the medical strategy with identified market and healthcare trends.
Key Responsibilities:
* Understand the external healthcare environment and data gaps related to the disease area or product
* Fulfill stakeholder information needs by communicating appropriate details of therapeutic area and product/compound
* Participate in regional events, national and international congresses
* Identify medical experts and institutional networks in the region and optimize relations with the medical community
* Implement and monitor regional medical plans
* Set up non-promotional medical operations in partnership with expert healthcare professionals
* Provide a field medical interface in the context of EAP and compassionate use programs
* Be the medical referent in the region, offering scientific expertise and ensuring proper use of medicines
* Update knowledge and participate in the training of field sales teams in the therapeutic area
* Ensure non-promotional communication with healthcare professionals, respecting the principles of separation of promotional and non-promotional activities
Requirements:
* Scientific degree required with diploma equivalent to masters level
* Experience in Medical Affairs and MSL roles
* Experience in public presentation required
* Strong understanding of rare and prevalent diseases development and a strong sense of science and business acumen
