Renewable Energy Generation Project Business Development Manager
About the Role
The Green Recruitment Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join their Development Team. Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development of wind, solar, and battery storage projects, from site identification and land acquisition to securing permits and preparing for construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify potential sites for new projects and analyze electrical network infrastructures to support project interconnection.
- Lead or assist with landowner negotiations, including site access, roadways, cables, and overhead lines.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as local communities, authorities, and elected officials.
- Oversee the Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) process and planning stages through to pre-construction handover.
- Conduct financial modelling and support the development of business cases for acquiring wind, solar, and energy storage projects.
- Support the Construction and Asset Management teams during the initial service phases.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures.
- Provide regular management reports.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in engineering, planning, or business administration, with a focus on renewable energy, environment, or project management.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience; experience in wind farm development is a plus.
- Proficiency in GIS/AutoCAD is advantageous.
- Highly motivated to work in a dynamic environment; organized, open-minded, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, adaptable, and efficient working style.
- Excellent communication, social skills, and leadership ability.
- Integrity, ethical standards, and sound judgment.
- Intellectual curiosity, passion, and self-motivation.
- Full clean driving license, with regular travel required for fieldwork and occasional trips to Headquarters.
Eligibility:
Eligibility to work in the EU is required.
