About the Role:
The Transversal Data Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper operationalization of Data Governance within the global Data Office for ENGIE Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS). This position is responsible for driving the overall data strategy for the organization, working closely with the Chief Data Officer (CDO) and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the CDO in defining the Data Office roadmap, considering data-centric strategies involving Data Science and AI initiatives.
- Ensure that the Data Office roadmap is updated and aligned with the organization's goals.
- Develop and implement KPIs to monitor the governance program's advancement.
- Assist the CDO in prioritizing data subjects and constructing the IS roadmap on Data subjects.
- Organize and prepare data committees to ensure effective collaboration and decision-making.
- Monitor resource and budget availability and allocation for the Data Office, making adjustments as needed.
- Communicate the governance framework to identified audiences and promote its adoption.
- Participate in the development of skills improvement plans for data actors and support the onboarding of new data roles.
- Identify strategic use cases for deploying the governance framework and ensure that data roles are identified and nominated in use cases.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of professional experience in a similar role or as a business analyst, with a background in data management initiatives.
- Fluency in French and English, with Dutch being a plus.
- Ability to interact with both business and IT teams.
- Strong analytical skills, combined with a hands-on approach.
- Good knowledge of the energy industry.
