We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Equipment Specialist to join our team at Iberdrola International. As a key member of our Offshore Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our electrical equipment, with a focus on high-voltage cables (HV cables) in Continental Europe.
Key Responsibilities- Define technical requirements, improvements, and maintenance strategies for electrical equipment, prioritizing HV cables to maximize availability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Provide support to O&M engineering, assistance, and recommendations to deliver mid-to-large-scale O&M works within time, budget, and quality, adhering to industry best practices and ensuring Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance.
- Identify and claim technical defects in electrical equipment, particularly HV cables, to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and participate in the claim process.
- Assess technical risks associated with electrical equipment condition and develop actions to mitigate or eliminate these risks, ensuring contract requirements are met.
- Develop procedures to guarantee the deployment of maintenance activities and coordinate maintenance strategies for electrical systems with other Offshore O&M Hubs (UK and USA) to implement uniform, global, and standardized solutions.
- Coordinate the execution of maintenance activities with local Iberdrola Site staff to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality execution.
- For new wind farm projects, define solutions with the project team and Principal Manager for Transmission Equipment in Operations Engineering to optimize Operation and Maintenance activities during the commercial operation phase.
- Manage personnel under self-remit, identify training needs, and implement necessary actions to address gaps.
- Interact with Global Technical Services, OEM, Offshore Site teams, grid operators, certifiers, and regulatory bodies to deploy efficient and technical capability relationships.
- Effective management of assigned maintenance contracts to maximize financial business results through reduced operating costs and high-quality maintenance activities.
- Experience in contracting, engineering design, or delivery, with a focus on HV cable installation, testing, and maintenance (subsea and above-sea inspections).
- Some track record in operation and maintenance delivery, with participation in global teams for multitask, international projects.
- Management of contracts and experience in English and French languages.
