Key Responsibilities
- Sales Assistance: Support the Solution Architecture team in enhancing sales through operational aid. Leverage GIS-based systems, prior solution designs, and Zayo product expertise to fulfill customer inquiries. Aid in crafting proposal responses and developing cost-efficient solution designs.
- Solution Development: Create and document solutions tailored to meet distinct customer needs while adhering to Zayo's standard product offerings. Collaborate with Solution Engineers in designing solutions that cater to both current and future customer business applications. Stay informed on essential network engineering materials and keep abreast of industry and technological advancements.
- Planning and Coordination: Organize your time in accordance with business priorities. Provide consistent updates and communication to internal teams, including sales, engineering, technical operations, and commercial departments.
- General Expectations: Comply with all company standards and maintain a high level of business professionalism. Exhibit regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Undertake additional duties as required.
- Qualifications: Strong verbal and written communication abilities. A technical inclination with attention to detail. A persistent focus on achieving results and goals. Proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications. Excellent teamwork capabilities. Ability to navigate ambiguity and respond swiftly to changes in a dynamic environment.
- Preferred Experience: Background in Telecommunications, Engineering, Economics, General Business, or a related field. Familiarity with Salesforce, Google Earth, ESRI, MyWorld/GE Smallworld. Knowledge of network design (especially fiber, Layer 1, 2, and 3), MAN technologies and structures (including WDM and Ethernet), internet technologies, and networking protocols (emphasizing Layers 1, 2, and 3). Understanding of data networking technologies and services (LAN, MAN, WAN, VPN). High-level comprehension of fiber optic network design and implementation.
