As part of the AXA SA Risk Management department, you will play a crucial role in Group Risk Management, serving as the second line of defense for all AXA SA operations, including Corporate, Financial Holding, and Reinsurance, while collaborating with key expert functions within GIE.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
As a member of the Operational Risk & Internal Control team, your contributions will include:
- Identifying and assessing operational risks through collaborative workshops with frontline teams.
- Defining, modeling, and quantifying operational risk scenarios in accordance with Group Risk Management Standards.
- Monitoring Operational Risk Appetite and reporting any deviations.
- Calculating and aggregating Short Term Economic Capital (STEC) for operational risks.
- Collecting loss data and incidents quarterly, reporting findings to Group Operational Risk Management.
- Monitoring and reporting Key Risk Indicators on a quarterly basis.
- Presenting updates to the AXA SA Operational Risk & Internal Control Committee regarding significant operational risks and AXA SA's contributions to the Group Internal Model.
- Reviewing and updating operational risk policies.
- Monitoring information risks through specific Key Risk Indicators, action plans, and reporting to Group Information Risk.
- Providing second opinions on risk management for key projects.
- Supporting the internal control function in reviewing STEC controls as part of the IFC SII Programme.
- Contributing to the review of the Data Quality framework and updating dashboards to ensure key data quality controls are executed and exceptions are reported.
Let's Discuss Your Profile:
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Master’s degree (BAC+5) in Engineering or Actuarial Science, with a focus on Insurance & Risk Management.
- Experience in risk management and familiarity with Solvency II regulations and practices, preferably within the insurance sector.
Technical Skills:
- Understanding of (re)insurance operations, Solvency II regulations, and risk modeling (R) is advantageous.
- Project management skills.
- Fluency in French.
- Proficiency in English (C1 level or higher in both written and spoken).
Soft Skills:
- Demonstrated reliability, quality, and punctuality in deliverables.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Capability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders at various management levels, including regulators and auditors.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations and documentation.
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships and foster business partnerships.
