Role Overview:
The Network Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the upkeep of the network infrastructure using standardized procedures and automated tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the provisioning and upkeep of network solutions across various domains to ensure effective controls within the infrastructure environment.
- Engage in infrastructure and business initiatives to determine the most effective network architecture.
- Lead the management of network solutions to facilitate the efficient handling of both business and technical requirements.
- Produce comprehensive Low Level Design documentation and collaborate with team members for implementation.
- Manage relationships with third-party suppliers to enhance operational efficiency and influence design decisions for optimal business outcomes.
- Maintain vendor relationships for operational effectiveness.
- Develop and execute test plans.
- Provide second-line support for network infrastructure across data centers and office locations.
Candidate Profile:
Essential Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in similar roles.
- Certification in Juniper JNCIP or Cisco CCNP (CCNA may be considered).
- Familiarity with Data Centre Infrastructure.
- Experience in MPLS VPN design and implementation.
- A security-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in network trace analysis in complex environments.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience with Change Management processes (ITIL).
