Site Overview

The Petrochemical Pole of Berre, a sprawling complex of nearly 1,000 hectares, is strategically located on the banks of the Etang de Berre, approximately 30 km from Marseille, France. This facility features a steam cracker alongside advanced Polypropylene and Polyethylene production units, catering to a wide array of domestic and industrial applications. The site is equipped with essential logistics infrastructure, including port facilities, pipelines, and storage and distribution terminals.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Senior Sourcing Specialist (F/M) for our petrochemical operations.

Primary Responsibilities

The role focuses on generating value through the development and execution of sourcing strategies, tailored agreements, and relevant work processes aligned with our global strategy. You will support various business functions and category areas, actively participating in sourcing activities that encompass ongoing operations and capital projects.

Key Duties

1. Implement the sourcing process effectively for segments and/or commodities of increasing complexity and medium value.
2. Understand and drive initiatives for assigned segments or commodities to achieve sourcing goals, assessing supplier capabilities through KPI analysis and making informed recommendations.
3. Manage sourcing events and contracts valued up to 10 million Euro, ensuring compliance with ethical and financial standards.
4. Collaborate with Category Managers to enhance external and internal initiatives.
5. Communicate LyondellBasell's procurement policies, ensuring adherence and fostering a strong governance culture.
6. Independently execute procurement processes, including support for CO2 emission reduction initiatives.
7. Contribute to LyondellBasell's sustainability objectives as a key element of the procurement strategy.

Qualifications

A Master's degree in sciences or engineering (Technical Degree) or equivalent technical qualifications is required.

Experience

A minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, maintenance, engineering, or project execution is essential.

Preferred Skills

• Strong negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP, and ARIBA.
• Experience in developing 7-step sourcing strategies and Should Cost Models.
• Fluency in French and business-level English; proficiency in a third European language is advantageous.
