About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Sourcing Specialist (F/M) to join our team at our petrochemical site. This role is crucial in generating value through the development and execution of sourcing strategies and related agreements aligned with our global objectives. The successful candidate will actively support various business functions and contribute to the overall sourcing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Implement the sourcing process effectively for segments and/or commodities of increasing complexity and medium value.
  2. Understand and drive strategies for assigned segments or commodities, proactively initiating efforts to achieve sourcing goals. Evaluate supplier capabilities through KPI analysis and make informed recommendations on supplier acceptability.
  3. Manage sourcing events and contracts valued up to 10 million Euros, ensuring compliance with ethical and financial standards. Maximize revenue and control costs by responding to audits and information requests.
  4. Assist the Category Manager in advancing external ASP (Advance Supplier Potential) and internal ACP (Advance Competitiveness Potential) initiatives.
  5. Support Category Managers during complex sourcing initiatives through data modeling, change management, and new process implementation.
  6. Communicate LyondellBasell's procurement policies and standards, ensuring compliance and fostering a strong governance culture.
  7. Independently execute procurement processes, including support for CO2 emission reduction programs, adhering to contract standards.
  8. Contribute to LyondellBasell's sustainability efforts as a key component of the procurement strategy in supplier management.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in sciences or engineering (Technical Degree) or equivalent technical qualifications.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, maintenance, engineering, or project execution.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP, and ARIBA.
  • Experience in developing 7-step sourcing strategies (Kearney method) and Should Cost Models (Anklesaria).
  • Fluency in French and business-level English; proficiency in a third European language is advantageous.
