About the Role

VSGP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Environmental Sustainability Director. This role will play a crucial part in driving the company's sustainability initiatives and ensuring that our operations are environmentally responsible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive program for environmental sustainability, including the creation of a resource recovery center and the development of related markets.
    • Collaborate with the DMOP to ensure that the program is aligned with the company's overall strategy and goals.
  • Project Management
    • Manage projects related to the development and implementation of the resource recovery center, including the preparation of tenders and the coordination of construction activities.
    • Conduct a thorough analysis of similar projects and identify best practices to be applied in our own project.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including educational institutions, local authorities, and community groups.
    • Develop and implement a communication strategy to promote the company's sustainability initiatives and engage with the local community.
  • Team Management
    • Lead and manage a team of professionals responsible for the day-to-day operations of the resource recovery center.
    • Develop and implement a training program to ensure that team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Master's degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental sustainability, project management, or a related field.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Strong knowledge of environmental sustainability principles and practices.
    • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
    • Ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts to diverse audiences.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
