Job Title: Technician III
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technician III to join our team at Microchip Technology, Inc. in Nantes, France. As a Technician III, you will be responsible for supporting the validation and characterization of 32-bit microcontrollers during night shifts. You will work closely with Validation engineers and manage day-to-day activities of the Lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support validation and characterization of 32-bit microcontrollers
- Manage and maintain Validation lab and equipment
- Experience in handling Boards and soldering components on PCB
- Ability to handle shipping and logistics
- Basic knowledge of circuits and networks
- Experience in measuring and debugging issues on the boards
- Ability to read schematics, and experience with troubleshooting analog and digital electronic circuits
- Familiar with handling and safety procedures of hazardous materials
- Good at documentation both work and PPT. Experience in Microsoft Office. (Excel, Word)
- Experience in PCB design is plus
- Willingness to learn new things and ability to ask questions
- Should be a team player with good communication skills oral and written
- Demonstrate ability to work successfully in diverse product engineering teams
- Flexible and willing to take on whatever tasks are required
Requirements:
- Willing to work in night shifts (proposed timings : First shift: 3pm – 12 am (includes 1 hour break)
- Will mainly aid the team with data collection activities.
- Will be asked to come during day shift for a while to get trained.
- Data Collection support:Setup, maintain automated measurements bench.Sweep parts and check measurement results integrity.
- Team Lab SupportInventory management and tracking of lab components, equipment, parts
- Equipment Tracking:Allocation and tracking of the non-bonded equipment for the users.Tracking of the temperature conditioners usage by the team.Checking with other teams for equipment rent and tracking of the same.
- Shipment of Silicon to other validation site (India / U.S.)Packing and shipping the silicon/hardware to other sites if needed.Tracking and managing the Silicon in lab.
- Other miscellaneous works:Support in assigning and setting up the bench for new joiners.Support on the Rework:Board reworkHandling the components like resistors, capacitors, jumper wires etcBoard design:Contributing towards board design activities is an added advantage
