Job Title: Full Stack Software Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Software Developer to join our team at SOPHiA GENETICS in Bidart, France. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, deploying, and maintaining production systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Execute the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for assigned software components, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance, and support.
  2. Develop front-end and back-end features, as well as suggest new designs for services owned by the team.
  3. Collaborate with other teams to understand their issues and propose and implement solutions.
  4. Collaborate on the deployment setup/infrastructure for services owned by the team, including Terraform, Azure Cloud, and AKS.
  5. Drive design of individual components and modules, engaging opinions of more senior technical staff.
  6. Actively participate in code review.
  7. Perform work estimation and risk assessment.
  8. Communicate with PMO, Product, QA, and other stakeholders as necessary to develop product.
  9. Share engineering best-practices with peers and help support more junior members of the team.
  10. Communicate clearly and concisely with the other members of the team on technical subjects.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields.
  2. At least 2 years' experience as a professional Software Engineer.
  3. Fluent in English to a business level.
  4. Proficiency in Java (for Backend) & React (for frontend) is essential. Familiarity in any scripting language is a plus.
  5. Experience with Azure Cloud and AKS, alongside tools like Terraform and GitLab CI/CD is a plus.
  6. Agile principles a plus.
  7. Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery a plus.
