About UCD
UCD, or Unités Compactes Degrémont, operates on five continents, providing:
- Compact water treatment solutions, including the sale, manufacture, and installation of decentralized treatment units.
- Equipment for water treatment and separation, including Aquadaf, Densadeg, Pulsatube, and Aquazur technologies.
Job Description
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our UCD team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from initial commercial exchanges to the final phase of realization, including the installation, testing, and warranty periods.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Participating in tender responses, working with UCD or SUEZ commercial teams, or directly with regular clients.
- Developing tender responses, including technical, legal, and financial components.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensuring timely and effective communication with clients throughout the contract period.
- Managing risks and opportunities, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Coordinating with the production department to ensure timely project completion.
- Meeting revenue targets and achieving project profitability.
- Ensuring client satisfaction and obtaining timely project acceptance.
- Managing client payments and ensuring compliance with company processes and regulations.
- Ensuring adherence to company ethics and HSE policies when interacting with clients and site stakeholders.
Additional Responsibilities
In addition to the primary responsibilities, the Project Manager will also be involved in:
- Welcoming clients to our facilities for inspections or on-site visits.
- Developing long-term relationships with clients, potentially becoming a Key Account Manager for loyal clients.
- Providing market feedback to the Marketing and Product Management teams.
- Participating in innovation projects as part of the annual program.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or a related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the water treatment industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of water treatment processes and technologies.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Autonomy, organization, and adaptability in a multicultural and international environment.
- Proficiency in French and English, with a third language being an asset.
About the Role
This role is part of the Water Division - Water Africa team, excluding Morocco and South Africa.
