Job Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and technically skilled GIS Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing spatial data, developing GIS-based applications and tools, and providing information to support business decision-making within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain GIS databases and shapefiles.

  • Perform spatial analysis and create maps for various project needs.

  • Develop and maintain automated GIS processes using programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.

  • Integrate GIS with other technological platforms, including the use of APIs and web services.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and provide GIS solutions that meet business needs.

  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations that communicate GIS analysis results.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest GIS trends and technologies and suggest improvements to optimize our systems and workflows.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex spatial data in a clear and accessible manner.

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Experience in GIS analysis and data management.

  • Proficiency in GIS software such as ESRI ArcGIS, Alteryx, QGIS, or similar platforms.

  • Proven experience with relevant programming languages for automation and GIS application development (e.g., Python, SQL, JavaScript).

  • Familiarity with web mapping services and technologies (ArcGIS Server, Leaflet, Google Maps API).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Fluency in French and English.

  • Familiarity with mobile data collection and GPS integration.

  • Experience in remote sensing and photogrammetry.
