Research Context and Objectives
As a postdoctoral researcher at INRIA, you will be part of the Atlantis project-team, a joint initiative between INRIA and the Jean-Alexandre Dieudonné Mathematics Laboratory at Université Côte d'Azur. Our team focuses on developing innovative numerical methods for systems of partial differential equations (PDEs) modeling nanoscale light-matter interaction problems.
Research Project
The primary objective of this postdoctoral project is to formalize and develop appropriate modeling tools to study the interaction of a single photon and a metasurface. You will rely on and extend the high-order DGTD method initially introduced in [11]. The second objective is to apply the developed numerical tools for designing quantum information processing metasurface configurations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement numerical methods for simulating the interaction of a single photon and a metasurface.
- Collaborate with physics partners for theoretical physical modeling, simulation results interpretation, and potential applications.
- Contribute to the development of the DIOGENeS software suite.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, Scientific Computing, or Electrical Engineering.
- Sound knowledge of quantum optics, nanophotonics, metasurfaces, and metamaterials.
- Proficiency in Python and Fortran 2003 programming languages, with experience in parallel programming using MPI and OpenMP.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
