Description of the Position
This role is part of a research team at CEA focused on developing human organ substitutes, organoids, and organoids-on-chip. Specifically, the goal is to create a vascularized islet-model to understand type 1 diabetes mechanisms, enabling therapeutic target screening, drug development, and immunological approaches.
Project Overview
The project benefits from an optimized serpentine chip developed in collaboration with the CEA-Leti. It involves creating a pre-vascularized islet model, a permissive vascular microenvironment on-chip, analyzing vascular network development, and conducting immunological studies.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with a strong background in cell biology, especially vascularization. Experience with image analysis and quantification tools like Imaris is essential. Additionally, knowledge of bioinformatics and transcriptomics analysis would be beneficial. Strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively, are necessary. Good communication skills are also required for interacting with colleagues.
