Role Overview:
Newrest is seeking a dedicated Operational Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in overseeing the operational processes from inbound to outbound logistics of food, beverages, and equipment. The primary objective is to ensure that all departments adhere to the established standards and timelines associated with the delivery of equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor departmental activities to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct operational compliance audits to assess performance metrics.
- Collaborate with Pick and Pack, Food Production, and Transportation teams to ensure adequate staffing for optimal On Time Performance (OTP).
- Work with leadership to implement proactive strategies to achieve Dock Ready Time (DRT) performance targets.
- Utilize the Winrest Application (TIMEBLOCK) to track OTP through necessary timestamps.
- Ensure the presence of agents at workstations to facilitate timely DRT performance.
- Compare planned DRT with actual DRT, escalating issues to leadership when discrepancies exceed 10 minutes.
- Document compliance issues and communicate them to departmental leaders for corrective measures.
- Provide operational support as requested by management.
- Embrace and promote Newrest's core values: Simplicity, Humility, Efficiency, and Responsibility.
- Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude in all communications and tasks.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by management.
- Exhibit regular and punctual attendance.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of experience in inflight catering, airport operations, manufacturing, logistics, or the food industry is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with all levels of staff.
- Proficient in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
- Familiarity with investigation procedures and root cause analysis.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and operational workflows.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and observational skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities for data interpretation and risk management.
Work Environment:
This position may require exposure to varying temperature conditions and involves standing or walking for extended periods. The employee should be able to lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds regularly. The noise level in the work environment may vary from moderate to loud.
