Senior WWTP Operator

Job Purpose:

• This is a unique opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Doha for a challenging role in the operation of a large industrial area with a duration of 05 years.
• The contract consists of multi-discipline tasks in maintenance and operation of a large industrial area.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Will have a diploma in engineering or a trade certificate with 05 years of experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
• Will have experience in water and chemical analysis.
• Will have good spoken English and be familiar with plant isolation procedures, lock-out and tagging procedures, and plant permit to work procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Will be responsible for the operation of the WWTP, ensuring plant operation, isolation/de-isolation, wastewater plant operation, chemical preparation, etc.
• Will be responsible for system surveillance of potable water, sewage, industrial water, and landscaping network.
• Will be responsible for coordinating and handling non-routine and emergency works.
• Will ensure operational requirements are met, compliance with safety and environmental standards, and good housekeeping.

Requirements:

• Diploma in engineering or trade certificate with 05 years of experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
• Experience in water and chemical analysis.
• Good spoken English.
• Familiarity with plant isolation procedures, lock-out and tagging procedures, and plant permit to work procedures.
