Job Title: AP Lifting Supervisor
Job Summary:
Altrad is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AP Lifting Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the set-up of lifting equipment and the erection of working platforms, as well as supervising maintenance and repair work of engineering plant and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess job requirements from drawings and/or other specifications to ensure accurate execution.
- Examine faulty plant or machinery to identify defects and determine necessary repairs.
- Study plant or machinery drawings, technical manuals, or other specifications to understand operational requirements.
- Determine the sequence and method of required operations to ensure efficient and safe execution.
- Dismantle plant or machinery and remove damaged or worn parts for repair or replacement.
- Repair defective parts, obtain replacement parts, or prepare new parts using hand and machine tools.
- Assemble parts to rebuild plant or machinery and test for correct functioning.
- Perform routine service tasks such as cleaning, oiling, and greasing according to schedule.
- Operate overhead cranes and basic slinging in a safe and controlled manner.
- Install or reposition plant or machinery as required.
- Modify standard machinery for special purposes to meet client needs.
- Adhere to all safety requirements, including regular safety checks of tools and equipment.
- Use relevant workshops and site equipment associated with job requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in rigging and lifting operations.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
