About the Role

As a key member of our R&D team at Equativ, you will be responsible for leading our data science efforts and driving the development of our global advertising platform. This platform relies heavily on machine learning models that enable lower costs, higher revenues, and better targeted ads.

Your Mission

Within our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance, robust, and scalable architectures for training models and running them in production. You will also manage a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers, working closely with business, product, and engineering teams to refine and develop cutting-edge infrastructure and distributed machine learning services.

Key Responsibilities

* Drive and grow our data science and ML engineering teams, with a passion for large-scale optimization challenges
* Recruit new talents
* Design high-performance, robust, scalable, and flexible architectures to train models and run them in production
* Identify data science needs and design systems, especially when launching new projects
* Work closely with other engineering teams to refine and develop cutting-edge infrastructure and distributed machine learning services
* Keep on top of emerging technology best practices and champion these within the organization

About You

* Product-focused mindset: use the most appropriate ML/DS toolset to solve our customers' challenges
* Master's degree in a technical field (engineering, computer science, applied math)
* Solid background in building high-performance and responsive data science frameworks
* Passion for data ecosystems and experience in shipping large-scale projects with multiple dependencies across teams
* Experience in managing a team of machine learning engineers and data scientists
* Talent for clearly communicating complex concepts to non-technical audiences
* Experience developing Python code in constraint/high-load environments
* Familiar with deep learning frameworks
* Understanding of data structures and algorithm complexity
* Proactive, self-directed, and organized
* Fluent in English (and ideally also in French)
