Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Project Manager to join our team at BNW Services in Miami, Florida.

Job Overview

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Project Manager and Superintendent with overall planning, scheduling, and administration of assigned projects. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the construction process and final product meet client expectations for safety, quality, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Review contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  2. Assist in developing project schedules and quality control programs to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
  3. Participate in contract buyout and ensure that all necessary documents are completed within the specified timeframe.
  4. Contribute to site-specific safety and quality programs to ensure a safe working environment and high-quality construction.
  5. Help develop site logistics plans to ensure efficient project execution.
  6. Participate in and document the punch list process to ensure that all defects are addressed and resolved.
  7. Coordinate and document owner training to ensure that clients are fully aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
  8. Prepare O&M manuals and warranties to ensure that clients have all necessary documentation.
  9. Monitor project costs relative to budget and ensure that all expenses are properly accounted for.
  10. Manage schedule updates and assist with project planning meetings to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  11. Identify potential risks affecting cost, schedule, or owner satisfaction and develop mitigation strategies to address these risks.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent technical training and experience.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, design, finance, or management.
  3. Proficiency in project management software, including Primavera, Expedition, CGC CMS, MS Word, Excel, and AIA Contract Documents.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  5. Advanced knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, and construction documents.
