Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager to join our team at Dailymotion. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a team of development engineers and driving the technical vision of our core platform.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of development engineers through hiring, feedback, and hands-on career development.
- Manage direct reports' workload and project assignments, and participate in company-wide staffing ceremonies.
- Partner closely with other engineering managers and product managers to shape solutions and translate product requirements into actionable projects.
- Support timely delivery of projects by reviewing, directing, and guiding the work of all engineers.
- Manage team productivity by driving the technical vision of the core platform.
- Participate in roadmap definition and delivery, and company strategic decisions.
- At least one experience as a manager or team lead, preferably for a development engineering team.
- Ability to challenge and grow team members, and build and present a strong vision/roadmap for the team.
- Success as an engineer, and ability to deliver projects even when requirements are under-specified.
- Ability to work with multiple parts of the business and multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrable passion for technology, and ability to continually make suggestions around how to make the company better.
- Level of written/verbal English, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Web development, Web architecture, HTTP, JSON/RPC, REST API.
- Experience with collaborative software engineering techniques and methods.
- Knowledge in microservices architecture.
- Experience with modern frontend development.
- Demonstrated interest in problem-solving and technical innovation.
- Good understanding of Python or PHP.
- Experience with JS SDK development.
- Experience with SQL databases.
- Experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment testing and automation tools.
- Interest in clean architecture, DDD, event driven architecture.
