The primary objective is to streamline the distribution of Availability, Rate, and Inventory (ARI) along with Reservation delivery from a multitude of Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), Wholesalers, Tour Operators, Channel Managers, and Meta Partners.
This role involves orchestrating the necessary processes, translating data models, and facilitating message exchanges between ACMD and our partners.
Role ExpectationsWe seek a driven Quality Assurance Specialist who is self-sufficient, proactive, and ready to tackle challenges while eager to learn and contribute to team efforts in enhancing infrastructure and functional developments within Hotel IT.
You will analyze various information sources to recommend innovative solutions and propose enhancements.
Testing StrategyEstablish a comprehensive testing strategy and plan that includes both functional and non-functional test cases, ensuring alignment with specifications and client requirements.
Guarantee that the testing strategy adheres to CI/CD protocols, Green IT standards, and all quality benchmarks (SDL, STDL), as well as industry best practices (ISTQB, etc.).
Testing ExpertiseDesign and document test cases and scripts.
Set up the testing environment, prepare test data, and execute test cases.
Provide final approval (go/no-go) on features tested based on established exit criteria.
Continuously evaluate the necessity to add, update, or remove test cases in existing regression and CI/CD pipelines as new product features are introduced, using metrics such as stabilization and the removal of unreliable tests.
During maintenance tasks, investigate Product Technical Requests (PTRs), validate fixes, and enhance test suites accordingly.
Test AutomationAssess the need to automate a portion of (or all) test scripts.
Utilize a test automation framework and contribute to its enhancement.
Defect ManagementLog defects related to software or documentation, assigning an appropriate severity level based on the issue's significance, and provide relevant insights to facilitate defect resolution.
Communicate and report on testing activities to the relevant teams, including software developers and product definition analysts.
Ensure visibility of testing campaigns and milestones to all stakeholders.
Share expertise on specific topics (technical/functional) and disseminate knowledge within the QA community and other relevant parties.
QA Tools and Environmental ImpactEffectively utilize the QA tooling stack and frameworks.
Proactively address any issues or changes that may impact the daily responsibilities of QA colleagues.
Engage in understanding, measuring, and reducing the environmental impact of the applications being tested and the associated QA activities.
