The Assistant Director of Physical Security Systems and Project Management is responsible for overseeing the functionality of all critical security systems and projects across all University campuses.
This role will manage a team of technical support specialists, safety systems analysts, payroll analysts, graduate assistants, and student workers to ensure the effective implementation of security systems and projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement short- and long-term physical security roadmaps to identify weaknesses and misconfigurations in security systems.
- Manage project initiatives, maintain project timelines and budgets, and mitigate risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Collaborate with technical support specialists to ensure the operational aspects of security systems are functioning properly.
- Maintain accurate accounts of security system assets and conduct regular audits to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Supervise a team of technical support specialists, safety systems analysts, payroll analysts, graduate assistants, and student workers.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field from an accredited university.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and/or certifications such as PMP.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in project management with emphasis on project planning, risk assessment, and resource management.
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure.
- Extensive usage of Lenel OnGuard, Kronos, Genetec Security Center, T2 Enforcement, and Audiolog Call Recording Software.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, move about, sit, and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with on-call emergency response duties.
