Director of Security Operations

Job Summary: The Country Security Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily security management of all Acted premises and project sites, ensuring a permanent monitoring and assessment of the security situation in the country. This includes reviewing and implementing Acted's security management guidelines and protocols, as well as advising the Country Director and Senior Management Team on safety and security matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security management plans and procedures;
- Conduct regular security assessments and risk analyses;
- Provide security training and mentoring to staff;
- Collaborate with the Crisis Management Team to ensure effective crisis management;
- Ensure compliance with Acted's security management guidelines and protocols;
- Communicate effectively with staff, management, and stakeholders on security matters;
- Stay up-to-date with local and regional security developments and trends.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in security management and procedures;
- Ability to train, mobilize, and manage both international and national staff;
- Flexibility and ability to multi-task under pressure;
- Willingness to work and live in often remote areas under basic conditions;
- Proven ability to work creatively and independently both in the field and in the office;
- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.
What We Offer:
- Salary between 2800 and 4000€ monthly (before income tax), depending on the level of education, security level, etc as well as a monthly living allowance of $300;
- Accommodation and food provided in Acted guesthouse;
- Pension, health insurance, life insurance and repatriation assistance (& unemployment insurance for EU citizens);
- Contribution to the luggage transportation: up to 100 kgs, depending on the length of the contract;
- One week pre-departure training in Acted HQ, including a 4-days in situ security training.
