Position Overview

The Country Accountant Analyst (CAA) will serve as a pivotal liaison for all French accounting and compliance matters concerning Trivium's legal entity in France. This role is essential in assisting the Country Finance Manager (CFM) in overseeing statutory and fiscal accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger (GL) activities managed from the Budapest Business Service Center (BSC).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute accounting tasks at the country level in accordance with IFRS standards, including general ledger, taxation, and statutory financial statements.
  • Implement standardized business tools and adhere to group policies for reporting at both country and plant levels.
  • Collaborate with the BSC in Budapest for all transactions related to AR, AP, fixed assets, cash management, and standard GL entries.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports reflecting operational performance.
  • Support the month-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare statutory and fiscal annual accounts under the guidance of the CFM for the French legal entities.
  • Provide support to the French plants and their respective controllers.
  • Coordinate with the Business Unit (BU) Seafood and Group Finance on significant issues related to ongoing projects in the plants.
  • Adopt a proactive stance towards the BUs and Group regarding potential financial concerns.

Core Activities

  • Statutory accounting and tax compliance.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of accounting practices at both plant and country levels.
  • Facilitate comprehensive and precise reporting from plants to Group, Country, and BU.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of standard costing.
  • Implement financial controls and support internal and external audits.
  • Oversee SOX controls reviews.
