Eramet's Central Technical Department is dedicated to developing and implementing optimal standards and practices for the Group's operations.
Position Overview
The Industrial Safety Specialist (M/F) is an integral part of the Industrial Processes and Risks Department and reports directly to the Eramet Group Industrial Risks Manager.
This role involves assisting sites and project teams in recognizing, assessing, and managing their technological and industrial hazards.
The specialist is responsible for structuring the process safety framework and associated guidelines.
It is essential for this position to ensure that process safety considerations are integrated into site routines and operational protocols.
Frequent travel is anticipated (approximately 40% of the time).
Key Responsibilities:
By establishing a safety process approach aligned with Eramet's industrial operations, your responsibilities will include:
Gaining comprehensive knowledge of the Group's sites and operations, compiling existing risk evaluations on the Group's facilities (pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical plants, fixed mining installations), and identifying any additional studies that may be necessary. Conducting preliminary and detailed risk evaluations on the Group's facilities by leading or participating in HAZID/HAZOP sessions (in English or French) and tracking action plans. Assisting in the identification of major accident scenarios, integrating them into industrial risk mapping, and proposing mitigation strategies. Monitoring associated action plans will also be part of your duties. Engaging in safety evaluations within change management processes (projects, MOC, etc.) and overseeing action plans. Supporting sites in the implementation of industrial risk management routines. Contributing to the definition and establishment of the industrial risk dashboard and participating in CTO industrial risk management routines. Assisting project teams in selecting technologies and implementing protective systems in accordance with operational constraints and associated risks. Participating in design reviews (PID, implementation, definition of necessary Risk Control Measures) to validate proposed solutions and conducting project safety reviews. Drafting Group safety process standards based on established standards and best practices, and aiding the relevant sites in their implementation through training and support initiatives. Anticipating technical and/or regulatory developments and associated industrial risks.Candidate Profile:
With a technical and scientific background at Bac level in industrial risks and process safety, you possess over 10 years of experience in industrial risks and/or process safety, ideally with one or more successful international experiences, and have developed the following competencies:
Familiarity with standards systems and associated tools. Moderation of HAZID/HAZOP sessions. Proficiency in teaching, summarizing, organizing, persuading, and arguing effectively. Strong networking abilities with an appreciation for matrix and functional relationships. Advocacy for the Group's principles and policies. Adaptability to a diverse range of regulatory and cultural environments - Intellectual curiosity is essential. Knowledge of industrial processes and experience in the field of extractive metallurgy would be advantageous. Proficiency in English is essential, with Spanish being a plus.Benefits:
