Key Responsibilities:
The Lamination Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing the daily operations of the Lamination Department, including overseeing the Wall Process, CTL Machines, CTW Machine, Custom Mat Production, Safety Grid, Electronic Cutter, Scored Roll, and Material Handling. This position is essential in ensuring that production aligns with established quality and quantity standards. The Supervisor collaborates closely with other departmental leaders, including Area Supervisors, the Warehouse Manager, Purchasing Department, Production Scheduler, Quality Assurance Manager, and Engineering, to uphold efficient workflows and effective communication.
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, this role serves as a stepping stone for career advancement, offering opportunities for growth within the organization over the next few years as you contribute significantly to our objectives.
Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing and coordinating the activities of the Lamination Department to meet quality, quantity, service, cost, and safety targets.
- Assigning daily tasks and prioritizing workflow for team members.
- Addressing work-related issues and recommending improvements to enhance productivity and product quality.
- Completing daily production reports and ensuring compliance with ISO standards within the area of responsibility.
- Operating a forklift as needed.
- Gaining proficiency in all roles within the department to understand inter-departmental relationships.
- Instructing and supervising the training of employees, including temporary labor and cross-training initiatives.
- Maintaining positive employee relations and ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
- Preparing and managing employee records, including vacation requests and performance evaluations.
- Initiating and maintaining accurate records and reports, such as daily reports and work orders.
- Adhering to all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Required Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree is preferred.
- General knowledge of plastic materials and manufacturing processes.
- A minimum of 3-4 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through formal training or practical experience.
Additional Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Highly motivated, organized, and effective in problem-solving and team-building.
- Ability to successfully complete the company’s forklift driver training program.
