As a Lead Solutions Architect at Palo Alto Networks, you will oversee the technical strategy throughout the lifecycle of our key partnerships. You will act as a technical consultant and advocate, a thought leader, and a strategic partner to our clients and sales teams.

In your role as the technical strategy owner, you will align our solutions with the challenges, priorities, and architectures of our clients. You will provide expert guidance on integrating Palo Alto Networks solutions into customer environments and articulate our perspective on addressing complex security issues.

As a trusted advisor, you will empathize with the customer’s viewpoint, leveraging your expertise to help them derive value from our solutions. You will coordinate all technical resources to implement the necessary strategy and serve as a key partner to sales leadership.

Your Contribution

The effectiveness of the Lead Solutions Architect is measured by their ability to enhance sales productivity through:

  • Playing a pivotal role in crafting customer messaging that integrates the entire Palo Alto Networks portfolio.
  • Delivering compelling communications to build trust and engagement with senior executives at major clients.
  • Setting and steering agendas with clients and prospects, collaborating with sales teams, and engaging in the market through various initiatives.
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of competing solutions and architectures to effectively position Palo Alto Networks offerings.
  • Identifying new technology applications and use cases, assisting in the creation of presentations and documents that demonstrate value to clients.
  • Recognizing and documenting technological and business value gaps between our platform and competitors.
  • Serving as a valuable resource to Product Management to uncover current limitations and competitive insights within our product suite.
  • This role is senior and customer-facing, with the value produced needing to be clear and consistent.

Your Qualifications

  • Significant experience in pre-sales is highly desirable; consulting experience will also be taken into account.
  • Extensive knowledge of network and endpoint security architectures, including historical context and trends.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of networking principles.
  • Familiarity with related security domains such as identity management, SIEM, and cloud architectures.
  • Proven ability to establish credibility and strategic messaging with large enterprise clients.
  • A proactive attitude and commitment to closing deals effectively.
  • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with over 10 years in relevant roles.
  • Expected travel to clients is approximately 50%.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a systematic approach to resolving complex issues.
  • Proficiency in French and advanced English language skills.
