Engineering Manager

At Datadog, we're building a culture of resilience by using incidents as learning opportunities and catalysts for growth. Our Incident Response team is a key part of this effort, working closely with teams across departments to enhance on-call experience, incident response, and post-incident analysis.
As an Engineering Manager, you'll help us drive cross-functional reliability programs with other stakeholders, build platforms to solve operational problems, and set up thousands of engineers for success through training and golden paths.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of experienced SREs who are passionate about building a culture of reliability and resilience at Datadog.
- Steer the on-call experience for the company by establishing best practices and building platforms to support on-call rotations and compensation.
- Represent the interests of incident responders across Datadog by working with product teams to identify and help prioritize features that improve their user experience and efficiency during incidents.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years experience as a people manager or as a technical leader with strong mentorship skills.
- 2-3 years experience in the SRE or incident management domain.
- Technical pragmatism and an ability to help the team reason about trade-offs around implementation.
- Strong distributed systems knowledge.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
