Position Overview
As a key member of the Global Communications team, the Head of Corporate Communications is tasked with developing and executing Capijobnew's comprehensive global corporate public relations strategy to strengthen the organization's reputation among various external stakeholders. Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications and leading a team of six PR Managers and Specialists, the Head of Corporate Communications serves as the primary liaison for Capijobnew's international Communications teams. This role demands a unique combination of leadership, teamwork, and hands-on PR expertise. We seek a seasoned leader with outstanding interpersonal skills and extensive knowledge of the gaming, technology, and entertainment sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate, implement, and regularly refine the corporate PR strategy for Capijobnew, aimed at elevating the brand's visibility among all external audiences (media, partners, potential candidates) on a global scale.
- Efficiently manage all incoming corporate PR inquiries from both internal and external partners, utilizing the global network of Capijobnew PR managers as well as business, production, and corporate teams (corporate affairs, CSR, D&I).
- Oversee the development of PR materials for all corporate matters (messaging, Q&A, press releases, statements) and ensure the highest quality of all outputs.
- Stay informed about best practices and emerging communication strategies to innovate Capijobnew's corporate PR initiatives (through novel event formats, speaking engagements, and activations).
- Collaborate with a global network of PR managers to guide, mentor, and support them in executing the global strategy at the local level.
- Coordinate with business and development teams to ensure that product communications (both pre and post-launch) align with global objectives and priorities.
- Remain updated on trends in the video game and broader technology and entertainment industries (online safety, industry standards, business practices, societal issues), assessing their potential impacts, opportunities, and risks for Capijobnew.
- Lead a multicultural team of six PR Managers and Specialists, providing support in their daily operations and fostering their professional growth and development.
- Manage additional virtual teams and agency partnerships.
- Deliver regular updates to management, utilizing data to refine and enhance the global corporate PR strategy and initiatives as necessary.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of analytical thinking and creative insight, with the initiative to address tasks of varying scales, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to achieving results. Additionally, they should demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a keen interest in the video game industry and the evolving landscape of communications. Candidates should have:
- Extensive experience in a senior public relations role, either in-house or agency-side, preferably within the gaming, technology, or entertainment sectors.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset, prioritizing teamwork and leading by example.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, engage with various stakeholders, and think quickly on their feet.
- Diplomatic skills and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Confidence in advising C-suite executives on their communication needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English, with English at a native level.
