Position Overview: In the Flat Europe division of ArcelorMittal France, this role is pivotal in shaping the financial oversight and control mechanisms essential for achieving organizational goals. Reporting directly to the Head of Controlling & Accounting, the Internal Control & SOx Specialist will be responsible for establishing, reviewing, and ensuring adherence to the Internal Control and SOx framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the internal control and SOx compliance initiatives in close collaboration with the Segment head of SOx.
- Facilitate the Account Risk assessment in partnership with business units and the Head of Controlling & Accounting.
- Oversee the Application Risk assessment in conjunction with the IT department.
- Coordinate the Risk Control Matrix in collaboration with both business and IT stakeholders.
- Engage with internal and external auditors to conduct internal control and SOx audits.
- Develop and sustain a robust internal controls framework that aligns with compliance mandates.
- Ensure best practices in Internal Control are consistently applied.
- Monitor and ensure the prompt resolution of any identified SOx deficiencies.
Candidate Profile:
- A University Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or Management is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is essential, with a preference for candidates with a background in Big 4 firms.
- Preferred qualifications include:
- Expertise in managing and understanding the economic and financial landscapes of various organizations, particularly within the industrial sector.
- Experience in Financial Consulting, Financial and Internal Control, and SOx Audit for large publicly traded companies adhering to SOx and PCAOB compliance standards.
- Strong knowledge of both national and international accounting regulations.
- Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards and Internal Control (SOx) regulations.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
- Competence in using management software tools (SAP, Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) with a focus on enhancing data productivity through automation and digital solutions.
- Experience within an ArcelorMittal Unit or Segment is advantageous.
