Engineering Manager for Data Excellence

About the Role
We are seeking a talented Engineering Manager to lead our Data Acquisition and Transformation team at Amadeus. As a key member of our Data Engineering, Science, and Innovation department, you will be responsible for equipping our organization with best-in-class processes, practices, and technological expertise in the Data and AI domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Data Engineers responsible for collecting, cleansing, transforming, and storing data produced and consumed within our organization.
- Manage the design and implementation of ETL processes within our modern data platform to power our Offer products, such as Dynamic Pricing Solutions, Revenue Management Solutions, NDC, Nevio, and more.
- Ensure adoption and implementation of data management practices within our organization, working closely with data office entry points and other key actors of the data ecosystem.
- Maintain and operate our data assets with a DevOps mindset.
- Support customer activities, such as customer presentations, customer support, and incident handling.
- Be a technical expert, intellectual stimulation, and innovation source within our organization.
Requirements
- A solid educational foundation with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field. Advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) are preferred.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms and managing large-scale data projects.
- Proactivity, autonomy, strong leadership skills, and exceptional proficiency in English communication are required.
- Experience with SAFe or any other Agile framework.
- Relevant experience in data management, implementing data quality processes, and BI is a plus.
- Previous experience as an Engineering Manager is a plus.
