About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead our Data Acquisition and Transformation team at Amadeus. As a key member of our Data Engineering, Science, and Innovation department, you will be responsible for driving the collection, cleansing, transformation, and storage of data produced and consumed within our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Data Engineers in designing and implementing ETL processes within our modern data platform to power our Offer products, such as Dynamic Pricing Solutions, Revenue Management Solutions, NDC, Nevio, and more.
- Ensure the adoption and implementation of data management practices within our organization, working closely with data office entry points and other key actors of the data ecosystem.
- Manage the maintenance and operational activities of our data assets with a DevOps mindset.
- Support customer activities, such as customer presentations, customer support, and incident handling.
- Be a technical expert, intellectual stimulation, and innovation source within our organization.
Requirements
- A solid educational foundation with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field. Advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) are preferred.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms and managing large-scale data projects.
- Proactivity, autonomy, strong leadership skills, and exceptional proficiency in English communication are required.
- Experience with SAFe or any other Agile framework.
- Relevant experience in data management, implementing data quality processes, and BI is a plus.
- Previous experience as an Engineering Manager is a plus.
