Your Role at UpflowWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting and Financial Control Intern to join our Finance team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting and financial management, supporting our efforts to optimize financial processes and prepare for our Series B funding round.
- Financial Close Tracking
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely in the Netsuite system.
- Billing Management
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing to clients.
- Monitor and reconcile billing discrepancies.
- Accounting Management
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Support daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and transaction recording.
- Cash Collection Management
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments.
- Implement strategies to improve cash collection efficiency.
- Contribute to the development of our product by providing feedback and insights based on cash collection processes.
- Liaison with Accountants (US and France)
- Coordinate with external accountants to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Provide necessary documentation and support for external audits.
- Tax Monitoring
- Assist in tracking and ensuring compliance with tax obligations.
- Support the preparation and submission of tax filings.
- Financial Analysis and Projects
- Conduct financial analyses to support decision-making processes.
- Contribute to various financial projects aimed at improving efficiency and cost savings.
This position is based in our Paris office, close to Grands Boulevards.
Requirements- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in Excel / Google Suite.
- Familiarity with Netsuite or other accounting software is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
