Position Title: Lead Software Development Engineer

Business Context

The Dynamic Functional Tests team operates within the CPS-ES2 organization, playing a pivotal role in the Engineering Tool Chain framework. Our mission is to deliver high-quality testing and quality assurance tools that support various teams across the organization. Our team is strategically located to foster collaboration and innovation.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Software Developer, you will take charge of:

  • Assessing technical specifications and articulating user needs for new or enhanced software applications.
  • Crafting technical solutions, conducting feasibility assessments, and presenting viable alternatives to stakeholders for approval.
  • Developing software in alignment with industry standards, including the modeling, design, and implementation of databases.
  • Executing unit, package, and performance testing to ensure adherence to quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain the relevance of tools in line with evolving mandates.
  • Creating detailed software documentation as necessary.
  • Providing user support and offering constructive feedback and solutions.
Core Accountabilities
  • Serve as a mentor for less experienced colleagues, guiding and supporting junior developers.
  • Utilize your advanced technical expertise to make significant contributions to business objectives.
  • Influence project-related decisions, contribute to cross-departmental initiatives, and advocate for process enhancements.
  • Work autonomously while adhering to the strategic plan outlined by management, especially in complex scenarios.
Specific Skills Required
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, particularly TCP.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as C++ and Python.
  • Basic familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
  • Understanding of Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) versions 1 and 2.
  • Strong command of Unix systems and proficiency in Shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of Windows environments and scripting in CMD/powershell.
  • Familiarity with Amadeus-specific technologies and protocols is advantageous.
  • Experience with Java and cloud technologies would be beneficial.

  • A minimum of 5 years in software development.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering projects effectively.
