Job Summary
The Associate Medical Director France is a critical role that provides leadership and strategic direction to achieve company, business unit, and individual performance objectives. This position is responsible for establishing, fostering, and maintaining excellent educational activities with healthcare providers and research collaborations with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), other clinical investigators, and key academic institutions to build outstanding product awareness and advocacy.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with quality system requirements.
- Develop and deliver clinical messaging for products in coordination with the commercial and Medical Affairs teams.
- Develop and execute educational programs for clinical messaging to key stakeholders such as healthcare providers, payers, regulators, etc.
- Coach the commercial team regarding clinical details of products and assist in the development of field activities.
- Optimize communication and interactions with key customers and accounts by working with strategic managers within Medical Scientific Programs, Account Management, and Sales teams.
- Assist in the tactical implementation of regional and local educational initiatives in concert with corporate and regional business goals.
- Ensure the initiation of internal and external research projects involving present and future product pipeline.
- Oversee advocate development at both divisional and regional levels, as executed by the EMEA Medical Affairs Group.
- Covers mainly France and other Western European countries in need.
- Based in Paris, France.
- Significant travel (at least 40% of time) is required.
Requirements
- Medical degree with strong scientific or clinical background.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and French.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in clinical or lab medicine.
- Experience in biotech/pharma/diagnostics industry (professional medical education, medical affairs, or clinical research), or equivalent experience in healthcare management preferred.

This allows raising awareness about the medical and overall value for healthcare of our clinical diagnostics proposals, ultimately helping to provide better patient outcomes and reinforce Abbott's image as a reliable partner with French or other countries' healthcare providers.
