Senior Environmental Health Specialist

At Amazon France Transport SAS, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team, you will play a crucial role in driving improvements in our operations and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Manage health and safety programs, collaborating with other teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance with local regulations and Amazon's policies.
- Analyze data reports and root causes to provide leadership with the information needed to make safety-related decisions.
- Provide guidance and support for health and safety projects and policies, ensuring they are implemented effectively.
- Drive programs to improve technical equipment specifications and designs within Amazon, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
- Travel within the region to support site operations and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Our WHS team is dedicated to ensuring the well-being and safety of our employees. We work closely with managers, associates, and local governments to ensure compliance with Amazon's policies and legal regulations. As a Senior Environmental Health Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about creating a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements- Education to a degree level in a health and safety-related subject or an engineering degree with modules in Environment, Health and Safety legislation.
- Professional training in a technical profession, preferably mechatronics or electrics.
- Relevant experience managing projects and complying with local Health and Safety legislation.
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and French.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.
- Qualifications or experience in the field of sustainability.
- Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
- Chartered membership of a Human Resources industry body (e.g., IOSH) to support people management.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
