France General Counsel

We are seeking a seasoned General Counsel to join our Unilever France team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, as well as providing strategic legal advice to support the growth and success of our business.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with all operations in France, including Competition Law, Business Integrity, Data Privacy, Anti-Bribery, Governance, and Corporate Secretary.
- Partner with the France Leadership team to support transformational projects and manage the Legal Department budget.
- Implement and roll-out compliance and global legal corporate policies for the Ice Cream Business.
- Advise on key legal risks for the Ice Cream Business and provide a strategy and plan to mitigate and manage them.
- Advise on sales and route to market topics and projects, including Business2Business/Customer Development models and e-commerce.
- Manage any Ice Cream related litigation.
- Be externally focused by managing and reporting to the Leadership Team any new regulations possibly impacting the Ice Cream business.
- Manage legal risks and reputation for operations in France by supervising any major crisis and/or litigations in relationship with Authorities.
- Support the Sales Department in managing supplier/distributor relations by negotiating, analyzing, and drafting various contractual agreements.
- If the role is combined with the EU GC role, manage legal risks and trends with key stakeholders across Europe.
- Senior lawyer with +15 years' experience/PQE, experienced in corporate law, commercial & sales contracts, legal marketing activities, and competition law.
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
