IT Infrastructure Procurement Lead – Financial Services

Join our dynamic IT Procurement Team within the Supply Chain Division. This team is pivotal in managing all non-payroll expenditures for the organization and operates under the Finance Division.
The Supply Chain Division is structured around three primary areas:
- IT Procurement Team: Responsible for acquiring software, hardware, cloud services (SAAS, PAAS, IAAS), outsourcing, telecommunications, and cybersecurity solutions.
- Indirect Procurement Team: Focused on non-IT purchases such as facilities, contractors, consultancy services, and data vendors.
- Governance Team: Ensures compliance with procurement processes, policies, and control measures, while adapting to new regulatory requirements.
The IT Procurement Team aims to support stakeholders in realizing their digital transformation initiatives. We assess requirements and develop category sourcing strategies, employing tailored sourcing methods based on specific circumstances. Our extensive supplier network enables us to meet both business and strategic goals.
Beyond traditional procurement tasks, we emphasize two critical aspects:
- As a key player in the European market, we are committed to maintaining a SECURE Supply Chain for our clients, stakeholders, and suppliers, focusing on due diligence and oversight in cloud services, outsourcing, and critical service providers.
- We prioritize personal and team development to navigate today’s complexities, acting as trusted advisors who bring VALUABLE INSIGHTS through individual expertise and collective intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of a vision and strategies to align with long-term IT digitalization goals concerning infrastructure sourcing.
- Create and update the global category sourcing plan, gathering necessary blueprints, visions, requirements, and contract extensions.
- Oversee sourcing activities from needs assessment to purchase order issuance, including RFP drafting, stakeholder engagement, offer evaluation, negotiations, and contract management.
- Serve as the primary contact for infrastructure sourcing initiatives.
- Collaborate within the infrastructure team, potentially supervising buyers for extended activities.
- Share insights and experiences with Supply Chain teams and stakeholders to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Gather stakeholder feedback, identify unmet needs, and explore collaboration opportunities while raising awareness of sourcing and supply chain risks.
- Uphold and contribute to the core values of the IT Procurement Team: autonomy, accountability, collaboration, enjoyment, and respect.
Required Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure sourcing (hardware and software) with a proven track record of engaging with senior management.
- Comprehensive understanding of the infrastructure industry, including key players, trends, drivers, and total cost of ownership components.
- Demonstrated success in significant negotiations related to infrastructure, including Mainframe, Tandem, Storage, and DC strategy implementation.
- Ability to independently address various sourcing needs and provide practical recommendations tailored to project contexts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Capacity to deliver actionable insights while maintaining a visionary perspective.
- Experience in formulating actionable strategies and establishing a small team for implementation, with clear outcomes and ongoing progress measurement.
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of organizational awareness and sensitivity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the Financial Services sector and familiarity with the complex regulatory landscape is advantageous.
- Knowledge of post-trade market infrastructures and relevant experience with Agile methodologies are additional assets.
