Job Description

At this stage of our development, we recognize that Artificial Intelligence can play a crucial role in enhancing our products, operations, and risk management strategies.

We are in search of a meticulous and flexible Data Scientist to become an integral part of our vibrant team and help establish the A.I. practice at Swan from the ground up.

In this position, you will be instrumental in interpreting and analyzing intricate data sets to facilitate strategic decision-making and propel our innovative initiatives.

As a member of our team, you will engage in significant projects such as creating in-house machine learning models and leveraging these technologies to gain profound insights into market trends, streamline operations, and improve customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute impactful projects utilizing machine learning to enhance business efficiency, including operation automation, fraud detection, and compliance optimization.

- Develop comprehensive data models and algorithms aimed at predicting, optimizing, and resolving various business challenges.
- Manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume data from diverse sources employing a variety of tools and analytical techniques.
- Design and implement robust analytical frameworks to enhance business outcomes.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and repeatable data-driven solutions that advance product development, marketing strategies, and customer experiences.

- Stay informed about industry trends and leverage this knowledge to propose, innovate, and integrate new technologies.
- Manage the processing and analysis of new data sources and experimental datasets, ensuring data integrity and precision.

Your Team:

Reporting to Romain, our VP of Data, you will join our newly formed Data team, which consists of a Data Engineer, a Data Analyst, a Data Analytics Engineer, and a Product Data Analyst.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and expanding team, significantly influencing the future success of Swan.

Preferred Experience:
You would be an excellent fit if you possess:
- Approximately 5 to 10 years of experience as a Data Scientist, preferably with a background in the fintech sector and/or B2B SaaS environments.
- Ideally, a PhD in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning, or at least a Master’s degree in these fields.
- Proficiency in machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Expertise in data mining techniques and statistical analysis tools such as Python and SQL.
- Proven ability to effectively manage projects and engage with stakeholders.
- A commitment to teamwork, transparency, and trustworthiness, as we value a collaborative and supportive company culture.
