About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Buyer - Raw Materials Specialist to join our Procurement team at EUROAPI. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a steady supply of quality products that contribute to our global commitments of improving our environmental footprint, achieving procurement excellence, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy and Cost Improvement
    • Develop a detailed understanding of the spend for the covered categories
    • Achieve substantial savings through innovative sourcing strategies
    • Build and propose budgets that support EUROAPI's financial objectives and drive performance KPIs
    • Identify and implement cost improvement programs (CIPs) across the organization
  • Operations
    • Build and manage budgets and long-range planning according to business plans and priorities
    • Lead negotiations with suppliers and support global negotiations when needed
    • Recommend processes and tools to maximize efficiency, savings, and customer service levels
    • Measure and communicate KPIs and related actions plans to enhance supplier performance
  • Business Partnering
    • Promote networking and lead cross-fertilization programs between buyers and purchasing entities
    • Understand the informal structure and adapt behavior accordingly
    • Be the primary procurement contact for the site and attend site meetings related to raw materials, quality, issues, and new projects
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement within an industrial or FMCG company
  • Experience in influencing suppliers and internal/external stakeholders, and leading key impacting sourcing projects
  • Business and/or engineering executive education (University, School of Management, postgraduates programs)
  • Fluent in both French and English
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experienced negotiator, highly flexible with a strong capacity to adapt
