Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Scientist to join our team at Nutropy. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, executing, and analyzing experiments in the food science pipeline, working closely with supervisors and colleagues to drive innovation and product development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute experiments to develop and optimize food ingredients and products for recombinant protein and molecule valorisation
  • Identify bottlenecks and redesign processes to improve efficiency and quality
  • Develop and conduct analytical assays to elucidate the biochemistry of caseins and their behavior in cheesemaking
  • Qualify ingredients and suppliers for formulations and manage laboratory inventory and equipment
  • Prepare and present results with statistical analyses and technical recommendations to supervisors and the team
  • Contribute to IP generation and collaborate with external labs for product characterization
  • Manage and mentor junior team members and collaborate with different departments
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in food science, microbiology, biotechnology, biochemistry, or a related field
  • Previous experience in a lab setting with similar responsibilities and a strong background in food colloids and cheese or other fermented products
  • Experience with DOE, data visualization, and analysis, as well as proficiency in English and ideally some French
  • Independent, well-organized, and proactive, with strong communication and problem-solving skills
