The Cosmetic Quality Assurance Engineer will report directly to the Head of the Operations Department.
This position is an integral part of the Quality Team within the Operations Department and is based in Levallois-Perret.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation, management, and monitoring of the quality standards for our clients' cosmetic products throughout the development, production, and distribution phases.
- Act as the quality liaison for MAESA's internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
- Collaborate within a project team alongside various Maesa departments: Development, Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, Production, and Logistics.
- Ensure customer requirements are met and verify adherence to Maesa's expectations by our suppliers and subcontractors (specifications).
- Conduct audits of suppliers and subcontractors, evaluate their performance, and engage in the follow-up of action plans.
- Contribute to the enhancement of the MAESA quality management system.
Additional Responsibilities
During the Development Phase:
- Establish the quality budget and assess associated risks.
- Engage in the approval process of new products alongside the project manager.
- Confirm the availability of control elements (standards, specifications, etc.) in collaboration with the project manager.
- Assist in drafting finished product specification sheets, ensuring comprehension and integration by our subcontractors.
During the Production Phase:
- Participate in the initiation of production with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Perform various controls and analyses on packaging items: bulk and finished products according to the established control plan.
- Guarantee the quality of released products.
- Address non-conformities by implementing and monitoring corrective action plans.
- Validate the transition to Quality Assurance for suppliers and subcontractors.
During the Distribution Phase:
- Respond to customer feedback effectively.
Operational Activities:
- Exhibit mastery of Good Cosmetic Manufacturing Practices (ISO22716) along with Control and Quality Tools (ISO 2859, 5M, 5S, PDCA, etc.).
- Demonstrate proficiency in Project Management and Quality Assurance Techniques.
Qualifications

- A Bac+5, Master 2, or Engineering School Degree with a focus on Quality.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar or related field.

- Proven project management skills.
- Strong customer relations and operational excellence orientation.
- Detail-oriented, methodical, and organized.
- Commitment to professional objectives, ensuring diligent follow-up on assigned tasks.
- Effective and empathetic leadership and coordination within teams, guiding towards shared goals.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-collaboration within teams.
- Fluency in English and French; proficiency in a third language is advantageous.
- Experience in an industrial setting, particularly with cosmetic packaging, is preferred.
- Adept at working in project mode with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Mastery of quality tools (ISO 2859, 5S, etc.) and problem-solving methodologies (5M), risk analysis, and PDCA.
- Knowledge of audit techniques applicable to suppliers/subcontractors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with one or more ERPs, such as DIVALTO.
