Position Overview:
We are seeking a Sub-regional Business Development & Marketing Director (M/F) to lead our efforts in the Food & Beverage Biosolutions sector within the Sales Department. Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Dairy for Southwest Europe, you will play a crucial role in driving our strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Marketing - Business Development
Scope: Southwest Europe
Objective: Align Novonesis offerings with sub-regional customer requirements for key strategic business segments.
- Collaborate with the SWEETeam to define sub-regional strategic objectives.
- Establish efficient sub-regional pillars to facilitate information exchange and strategic analysis.
- Act as the primary liaison between the FBB Europe Marketing & BD team and the Global FFB Strategic decision-making forums.
- Coordinate and develop business cases in partnership with Sales and Global/Regional teams.
- Generate relevant market, customer, and consumer insights to support strategic analysis.
- Assist local Commercial heads in executing strategic decisions.
2. Strategic Marketing - Market Communication (MarCom)
Scope: Local with SWE coordination
Objective: Drive and coordinate communication strategies that support sub-regional and sales objectives in alignment with Global Marketing.
- Develop an annual local communication plan to support business objectives, including exhibitions and marketing materials.
- Adapt marketing materials to suit local market needs.
- Ensure coordination of MarCom efforts across Southwest Europe.
3. Strategic Marketing - Customer Engagement
Scope: Local with SWE coordination
Objective: Develop marketing tools and solutions tailored to local needs.
- Customize promotional materials provided by Global teams for local markets.
- Enhance promotional materials with competitive value propositions.
- Monitor and optimize the use of consumer studies in alignment with Global Marketing.
- Identify and develop solutions that address local market needs in collaboration with Global/Regional teams.
- Coordinate customer engagement activities such as seminars and technical days.
4. External Networking
Scope: Local with SWE coordination
- Build and maintain relationships with retailers to support business objectives.
- Develop professional networks with external organizations that can enhance our solutions.
5. Operational Marketing - Business Support
Scope: Dairy and legacy beverage sectors
- Oversee local business support activities in line with global guidelines.
- Track business support KPIs according to Global standards.
6. Operational Marketing - Product Management
Scope: Local
- Manage product management activities in collaboration with global teams.
- Serve as the sales contact for local food regulatory matters.
- Lead specific projects aligned with local strategic objectives.
- Participate in product-related crisis management and quality assurance processes.
7. Team Management
- Lead the local/sub-regional Marketing, Business Development, and Business Support teams.
- Manage matrix relationships with SWE Marketing team members.
8. Collaboration with Divisions & Other Teams
- Contribute to the SWEET team mission and activities.
- Engage with relevant global networks as required.
- Collaborate with Global and European Marketing and Sales teams.
- Coordinate with the Global Applied Research team.
