Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics Safety Specialist to join our team at Airbus. As a key member of our Industrial Safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our industrial systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and defend the team and projects assigned, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.

  • Manage budgets exceeding €1 million, ensuring effective allocation of resources.

  • Support change management of the H&S Roadmap, educating and training the network and plants on new safety protocols.

  • Create standards and processes to integrate safety into our business operations.

  • Ensure user involvement in Manufacturing Engineering projects from concept to handover.

  • Manage subcontractors as needed, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

  • Contribute to design and co-design of industrial systems that meet human needs and limitations.

  • Capture and disseminate knowledge, methods, and tools across Airbus functions and divisions.

  • Support compliance with regulations and Airbus safety policies and standards.

  • Define safety specifications for machines and systems.

  • Support suppliers and teams in managing robotic safety aspects throughout projects.

  • Assess safety concepts and safety architectures.

  • Contribute to standard improvements.

  • Participate in on-site tests and qualifications.

  • Monitor market trends in new safety technologies.

  • Contribute to tool development.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Engineering.

  • Between 5 to 10 years of experience in machine safety design, electrical safety design, and risk analysis.

  • Proficiency in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic circuits, PLC programming, and Lock-Out and Tag-Out process.

  • Knowledge of electrical standards and regulations.

  • Experience in China and USA machine deployment and analysis on applicable regulations would be a plus.

  • English at negotiation level.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with 2006/42/EC: Machinery Directive;

  • ISO 10218: Robots and robotic devices – Safety requirements for industrial robots;

  • ISO 13849-1: Safety of machinery – Safety-related parts of control systems;

  • ISO/TS 15066: Robots and robotic devices – Collaborative robots.
