The European Business Consulting Group at Veeva is a key priority for driving growth. In this role as a Senior Consultant, you will lead complex projects for Veeva customers, overseeing teams and planning, organizing, and tracking all aspects of delivery. You will analyze intricate problems, develop insightful solutions, and build close relationships with clients to deliver sustainable value at the forefront of digital and commercial innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex projects as the operational face of the Veeva Business Consulting team, responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all aspects of delivery, including scope, quality, resources, risk, and timelines.
  • Design, build, and deliver end-to-end solutions that meet overall project goals and objectives.
  • Proactively identify and solve problems faced by clients.
  • Serve as a trusted client contact for operational and strategic questions, developing relationships through face-to-face discussions, workshops, telephone, and email communication.
  • Manage the work and priorities of team members in your project(s).
  • Support and mentor Consultants and Associates in developing skills and professional capabilities.
  • Deliver superior levels of Industry, market, and functional insight to clients.
  • Lead business development opportunities and proposals proactively.
  • Develop and disseminate thought leadership and campaigns that differentiate Veeva Business Consulting in the market.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with an excellent academic record.
  • 8+ years of consulting experience in an established strategic/management consulting organization.
  • Experience in Life Sciences, particularly in the Commercial and Medical area.
  • A good understanding of Commercial, with proven expertise in two or more of the following areas: multi-channel strategy and optimization, product launch, go-to-market strategy, commercial model design, key account planning and management, segmentation and targeting, insight and analytics, brand strategy, and medical affairs.
  • A good understanding of commercial/marketing technology and, ideally, Veeva’s platforms and solutions and how business consulting offerings can both leverage and support these.
  • A good understanding of the business capabilities and drivers underpinning digital technology in Health and life sciences and the market forces and trends driving industry changes in Health & Life Sciences.
  • Experience in leading business development activities to build customer relationships and sell work.
  • Proven analytical skills, able to quantitatively and qualitatively assess problems and communicate responses across a range of issues.
  • A problem-solving mindset: anticipating issues early, analyzing, and proactively finding solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership of others in the delivery of complex deliverables.
  • Highly effective project management skills.
  • Able to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization and quickly establish credibility.
  • Have a strong personal impact and are able to influence and persuade a range of stakeholders.
  • An effective communicator verbally and written, in English and in the local office language.

  • Graduate-level qualification, PhD, and/or MBA.
  • Strong network in Top 20 Life Science companies.
  • Experience with digital technologies – channels, analytics tools, emerging technology.
  • Experience working with SaaS solutions.
  • Understanding/experience of AI and its applications in sales and marketing.
  • Fluency in additional European languages.
