Job Description: Operations and Maintenance SpecialistWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations and Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth functioning of our facilities and supporting our scientific endeavors.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate all maintenance operations across our sites, ensuring timely completion of repairs and preventative measures.
- Develop detailed technical specifications for contracts related to facility interventions, collaborating with procurement teams to secure competitive bids.
- Monitor the performance of external service providers, overseeing their work and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
- Collaborate closely with team leaders to track contractor performance and address any issues promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive databases and generate reports on contract management, budget allocation, and maintenance activities.
- Plan and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure the longevity of our equipment and infrastructure.
- Proven experience in managing and coordinating maintenance operations within a complex environment.
- Strong understanding of construction regulations, building trades techniques, and fire safety protocols.
- Proficiency in public procurement procedures and contract negotiation strategies.
